Couples Are Having Adorable 'Newborn' Photo Shoots... With Their Pets!

We've all seen new baby photoshoots. The 'gender reveal', the family photos, and the cute baby close-ups. These couples had the brilliant idea to do the same thing... for their newly adopted pets!

Check out the sources at the end of the article for more.

Cristy Sartwell is a professional photographer. Her daughter Kennedy came to her and asked her to do a photoshoot for a new puppy that Kennedy and her boyfriend were adopting. They had the idea to do a newborn photoshoot to announce the news that they had adopted a puppy together, and reveal the gender!

Cristy had to be convinced to do the shoot because she was so busy with other work. But she's glad she agreed to it - because it turned out to be a huge success!

The puppy's name is Raven Michele, and she loved the attention during the photoshoot... although, like any puppy, she was a little mischievous!

When describing this photo, Cristy said, "We tried to do a posed family shoot, and she was having none of that, and that's how the picture of her running toward me evolved. I said, 'Just hold her, let me lay down.' And I got her squeaker toy and got her attention."

Kennedy, at 19 years old, is new to the experience: "It's kind of like having a newborn. We're up at 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock and 6 o'clock in the morning taking her out to go to the bathroom. She's whining a lot because she wants to play, she wants to eat, she wants to sleep."

Although Raven is a curious and energetic puppy, Cristy didn't run into many problems during the shoot: "[Raven] seemed to have a good time. She really likes to eat dandelions, so she was chasing all the little white dandelions that were blowing."

On the topic of pet adoption photoshoots, Cristy said, "I think it's wonderful the way people have embraced owning dogs and cats. I think we'll be seeing a lot more of this kind of thing - I think it's absolutely darling."

"The shoot was hilarious. Everything went so smoothly. The pup was enjoying every second of it, and all the treats he was getting!"

"People may say we have way to much time on our hands to do this photo shoot, but that's not the case we just prefer to be creative!"

This photographer's daughter adopted a newborn kitten - and they held a super cute photoshoot for her. Meet 9-week-old Luna!

The photographer, Kitty Lee Photography, said of Luna: "She's extremely affectionate and usually sleeps in our laps. Luna's eyes were blue a few weeks ago, and are turning yellow/green! I love them either way."

They had no trouble posing her for photographs! Kitty Lee explained, "These pictures took no more than 5 minutes - I picked her up while she was sleeping, and she stayed that way! No magic tricks required. She was wrapped very loosely and could get out at anytime had she wanted to."

When photographer Kimberly Burleson found a stray kitten, she took her in. But of course, the kitten was too cute not to photograph!

Kimberly said, "Found this little gal today…… of course because she was soooo sleepy I had to play a little with her before I try to find her a home.  Had a blast photographing her today…… what else was I supposed to do!"

"Juno! In the past four weeks, this little girl has gone from the most mellow, relaxed kitten, to surpassing her sisters in spunk! While she still loves to cuddle, she's also found a new love for lively play sessions. As you can see here, she calms right down once she finds a comfy spot."

Are pet adoption photoshoots a 'yay' or a 'nay'? Let us know what you think!

Breaking up is hard to do.

And when you get the law involved, it's even worse. But sometimes people don't need the law's help to make things overcomplicated, they just have a grand ole time making that happen themselves.
