The human body is a fascinatingly complex machine. Blood flows through our veins carrying oxygen and nutrients, our liver and kidneys remove waste from that blood, and electrical signals travel through our nervous system to make it all happen.

Some things about our bodies are a little less fascinating and a little more disturbing, though.

Humans have always been quirky.

Textbooks can easily flatten out the history that truly took place, but even through that, the implications of human quirk can be gleaned.

But truly--wars have been started over sheep. John Adams once passed a law making it illegal for people to make fun of him. There's no end to human craziness throughout history.
