Humans are snowflakes. Not in our sensitivity to the imaginary concepts of society at large, instead in their varying resistance to outside physical stimulants. Sensations of comfort for some can feel like nails on a chalkboard for others.

Reddit user, u/Charlleshenry, wanted to hear the worst sensations you can imagine that really shouldn't be when they asked:

What is a sensation that you can't stand, even though it's not painful ?

I DON'T Want To Laugh, But...

Being tickled. I'm thinking itching is second.

StoneColdOuttaSight

The worst part is you can't tell people IRL that you hate being tickled because literally everyone takes that as an invitation to tickle you. People are d-cks sometimes.

Cotton Is The Worst

Dry hands or feet touching anything that's cottony

ProudYeti

Just the thought of pinching a cotton ball induces a physical cringing response in my body.

You Try So Hard To Stop It From Happening

Wet cloth at the wrists, like when you wash your face in the morning but water drips down your arm and wets your sleeve a bit.

nadia_diaz

This is the truth. And the anxiety of washing dishes and watching your sleeve slowly slide down. Then you have to either stick your arm in the air and shimmy the sleeve back down, or stop everything to dry your hands to push the sleeve back up.

Heat On Heat

When it's a hot day - my exposed arm (humerus ish area) touching someone else's

It happens a lot on hot London transport in summer and I HATE the sensation of the clammy skin sticking together - but just that area, anywhere else I can pretty much let it slide

Uncomfortable All The Time

Laying down on one side for too long.

I'm constantly rolling over from one side to the other because of how uncomfortable I feel. Not painful at all, because I'm in a resting, sedentary position.

I have a blanket that I use on the couch when I'm watching TV. One side is velour and the other side is fleece. My feet are rough even though I try to keep them smooth. Sometimes my rough feet get caught on the fleece and it feels so damned strange. I do it on purpose sometimes just to do it.

What can you not stand that really shouldn't be that bad? Let us know!

Children are wonderful... until they're scaring the living daylights out of you, that is.

Today's burning question came from Redditor blurryrhombus, who asked the online community "Parents of Reddit, what is something your kids started doing/seeing that made you believe they were communicating/seeing ghosts?"

Leave it to these parents to serve us ice-cold dishes of Can we f*cking not?

Please read the rules upon entering....

Rules aren't always made to broken, in fact in certain households breaking the rules can have some pretty severe consequences. And when you're growing you don't ask why, you just do. Who knows how parents come or heads of house come up with some ideas, hopefully it's to keep things in order and have no malicious intent. You have to wonder though how you made it all the way to college without going nuts.

This is what breeding does.

Even just 100 years ago, some modern, popular breeds looked drastically different.

Throughout human history, dogs have taken on many shapes and forms. Some of the oldest dog breeds to arise from selectively breeding the wolf include the Chinese Shar-Pei, the Lhasa Apso, and the Alaskan Malamute. But what these dogs looked like when they were first introduced to the world is probably a lot different than how they appear now, as can be attested to by these dog pictures from just 100 years ago of breeds we are all familiar with.

Can you guest what they are?

Don't hold out for a good rating.

Being a driver is not an easy job and it certainly isn't a safe job. People be crazy. A lot of the time we as passengers are nervous about getting into the car of a stranger but imagine the nerves of the drivers, they are in contact with strangers (who could be complete whackos) consistently for hours on end. We've all seen the videos of passengers gone crazy on a loop. If I was a driver, I'd own stock in mace.

Redditor u/foosh124 wanted the Uber drivers out there tell us a few tales regarding their most "unique" passengers by asking.... Uber drivers of Reddit; what's the creepiest, weirdest, and/or most bizarre passenger experience you've had?

It's a well known fact of life (and cinema) that a drill sergeant, second only to British Palace Guards, are the hardest people on earth to get to react to literally anything. Let alone smile.

People may try, and often, they will fail. But every once in awhile, they are able to coax a little wry grin from the drill sergeant. It may be because they did something dumb, or unexpected, but hey, at least it happened.
